Southeast Building and Shed Frequently asked Questions (F.A.Q)

1. Do I need a permit?

We will deliver and set up a building with or without a permit. Depending on the rules in each county, city or municipality, most buildings will require a permit. There are a few exceptions such as size and agricultural exemptions. You are responsible for checking with your local permitting office for specific rules in your area.

2. Do you build lofted sheds?

We do not. Our wind ratings are 180 MPH and lofted sheds compromise those wind ratings. A lot of our customers build shelving and small loft areas inside their sheds for extra storage space.

3. Do you Build Onsite?

We build our own portable sheds at our facility in Zephyrhills. They come completely assembled and we would need room to get them placed into your backyard. Most customers can remove fences etc. allowing room for us to get them in. We also offer crane in services. We also do steel carports and steel buildings which are built onsite. We are a full service General Contractor and we do offer concrete services as well as permitting on these buildings. We can make one as small as 12x16x6 all the way to 50x100x16.

4. What are your sheds made out of?

All of our sheds are wood framed and aluminum sided with vertical steel roofs. They are rated for 180 mph winds. (The highest wind ratings in Florida). We build them ourselves in Zephyrhills and pride ourselves on the quality and craftsmanship of them.

5. Do you offer Financing?

We offer both credit based financing as well as no credit check rent to own. We have a variety of lenders and banks to help fit any need.

6. How much space is required to get a Portable Shed in my backyard?

A vertical space of 14', measured from the ground to the top of the building when it is on the trailer, is required. Be sure to take any tree branches and utility wires and EAVES of your home into account. While our drivers are very skilled, even with a Mule (There is a flat charge of $150 for use of the Shed Mule), he will still need a minimum of 2' of space to maneuver the building through an opening. That is, a building 12' wide will require a 14-foot wide space (1 foot on each side).

7. Does your price include set up and delivery?

Yes! Standard set up and delivery is included in all of our pricing. Standard delivery is within 20 miles of our stores and will include anchoring and 1 set of concrete blocks. Additional charges will apply for extra blocks, use of the Shed Mule, or extra milage.

8. What gauge of steel do you use for your carports and steel buildings?

Standard is 14 gauge tubing and 29 gauge panels. We can upgrade to 12 gauge tubing and 26 gauge tubing for an additional cost.

9. Can you handle the entire project?

As a licensed Florida Building Contractor, (CBC1263379) We can handle your TURN KEY project from Permitting and engineered plans to concrete and even electrical and plumbing.

10. On your RTO Program, what is the TOTAL price?

The price of the shed is ALWAYS the same. Depending on whether you go with credit based financing or a no credit check rent to own option, the total amount you pay will differ. All of the companies we work with have no early payoff penalties so you may have it for a year and win the lottery and pay it off. If you take any loan/contract to term, you will always pay more with interest by only making minimum payments. You are also able to pay more on top of the payment to pay it off faster.
